The Complete Guide on the Best Time to Visit Kenya for a Safari
Planning a safari to Kenya is a dream for many, but knowing when to go can make all the difference. Kenya is a year-round destination, but the best time for you depends on what wildlife spectacles you want to witness. Generally, the dry seasons are considered superior for game viewing.
Dry Season (June to October)
This is widely regarded as the best time to visit Kenya. The weather is cooler and dry, making the roads easier to navigate. More importantly, the vegetation is sparse, and animals gather around waterholes, making them much easier to spot. This period also coincides with the spectacular Great Wildebeest Migration in the Maasai Mara.
If witnessing the migration is on your bucket list, we highly recommend checking out our Maasai Mara Safari Packages to secure your spot during this peak season.

Wet Season (November to May)
The "Green Season" has its own charm. The landscape transforms into a lush green paradise, and it's the calving season for many antelope species, which inevitably attracts predators. Bird watching is phenomenal during these months as migratory birds arrive. Prices are generally lower, and parks are less crowded.
For those interested in elephant sightings with a backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro, our Amboseli National Park Tours are fantastic almost year-round, though the dry season offers the clearest mountain views.
Summary: When to Go?
